Alameda is a perfect 7-0 against Jefferson since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Pirates will look to defend their home field against the Saints at 4:00 p.m. Alameda will be looking to extend their current nine-game winning streak.
Alameda made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Fort Morgan, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Pirates put the hurt on the Mustangs with a sharp 16-4 victory on Saturday. Considering the Pirates have won ten matchups by more than seven runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.
Ivan Baca was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed four innings while giving up three earned runs off four hits. Baca was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with four RBI and two runs.

In other batting news, Edwin Arroyo was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three doubles, two runs, and two RBI. Those three doubles gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Angel Arroyo, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI.
Alameda always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .605. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Fort Morgan only posted an OBP of .409.
Meanwhile, Saturday just wasn't the day for Jefferson's offense. They came up short against Kennedy on Saturday, falling 12-0. Having soared to a lofty 13 runs in the game before, the Saints' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.
Alameda pushed their record up to 11-2 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.5 runs on average over those games. As for Jefferson, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-7.
Everything went Alameda's way against Jefferson when the teams last played back in March of 2024, as Alameda made off with an 18-2 win. Do the Pirates have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Saints turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
