Soccer Game Preview: Umatilla vs. Leesburg

The Umatilla Bulldogs are taking a road trip to take on the Leesburg Yellow Jackets at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Umatilla is coming into the contest hot, having won their last three games.

Last Friday, Umatilla earned a 3-1 victory over Interlachen.

Meanwhile, Leesburg fell victim to Springstead and their airtight defense on Friday. They came up short against the Eagles, falling 6-0. The Yellow Jackets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Umatilla is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 37 goals over those eight games. As for Leesburg, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-10-1.

Everything went Umatilla's way against Leesburg when the teams last played back in December of 2024, as Umatilla made off with an 11-4 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Umatilla since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
