Basketball Recap: Lakeland Takes a Loss

Lakeland suffered their biggest defeat since December 14, 2023 on Tuesday. They had to suffer through a 74-43 loss at the hands of the Coeur d'Alene Vikings. The Hawks haven't had much luck with the Vikings recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.

Coeur d'Alene found their leader in sophomore Brookeslee Colvin, who went 9 of 19 on her way to 22 points and five steals. The match was Colvin's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kelsey Caroll, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 boards.

Lakeland's loss dropped their record down to 13-5. As for Coeur d'Alene, their victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-7.

Lakeland has already played their next contest (against Lewiston), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Coeur d'Alene does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
