The home team had won the previous three meetings between Oswego and Mexico, and Oswego kept the tradition alive. The Bucs blew past the Tigers 13-2 on Monday. For the Bucs, this counts as revenge for the 3-0 win the Tigers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2023.

The team relied heavily on Clara O'Connor, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-5. Madison Casaletta was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.

Oswego's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Mexico, they are on a ten-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Looking ahead, Oswego will hit the road for the first time this season to face off against Central Square at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday. As for Mexico, they will be playing at home against Homer at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
