Volleyball Recap: Greendale Takes a Loss

Greendale was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the New Berlin Eisenhower Lions. The Panthers were not able to make up for their loss to the Lions from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-16, 25-14.

Sophia Schroeder paced Greendale's offense, picking up four kills. Schroeder got some help from Cadence Weidel and her six assists. Weidel was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Greendale's defeat dropped their record down to 4-18. As for New Berlin Eisenhower, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 14 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-7 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Greendale is set to face off against their familiar foe New Berlin West at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, New Berlin Eisenhower will square off against rival Wisconsin Lutheran at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
