Basketball Recap: Petersburg Comes Up Short

After flying high against Liberty last Monday, Petersburg came back down to earth. The Petersburg Vikings took a 65-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tucker County Mountain Lions on Friday. The defeat continues a trend for the Vikings in their matchups with the Mountain Lions: they've now lost seven in a row.

Petersburg now has a losing record of 9-10. As for Tucker County, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-5.

Coming up, Petersburg will be playing in front of their home fans against Pendleton County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Tucker County, they will head out on the road to challenge Fairmont Senior at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
