Football Recap: Great Falls Starts Season with Win on the Road + How To Watch

Great Falls had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They enjoyed a cozy 21-7 victory over the Flathead Braves/Bravettes. For the Bison, this counts as revenge for the 42-41 win the Braves/Bravettes walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2016.

A big part of Great Falls' victory came down to the chemistry between Tristan Oleary and his top target Steele Harris. Oleary threw for 190 yards and two TDs while completing 88.9% of his passes while Harris picked up 162 receiving yards and a pair of scores. What's more, Harris posted two receiving touchdowns, the most he's had since back in September of 2024.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Great Falls will face off against Big Sky at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Flathead, they will square off against Whitefish at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
