Weldon Zirkle Game Report: vs Point Pleasant

While Weldon Zirkle delivered a dominant effort on Wednesday, a win just wasn't in the cards for Buckhannon-Upshur. Point Pleasant had no answer to Zirkle as he pitched six innings while giving up just one earned (and five unearned) runs off six hits.

Looking ahead, Zirkle and Buckhannon-Upshur will head out on the road to face off against University at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Buccaneers have some work to do to even out the 1-9 series between these two since June of 2021, but a win here would be a good start.
