Preview: Calvert Senecas vs. Woodmore Wildcats
The Calvert Senecas will head out on the road to face off against the Woodmore Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Calvert focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Tuesday.
Last Tuesday, things could have been worse for Calvert, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 51-35 loss to Lakota. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Calvert has scored all season.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Alyssa Rishty, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds. The contest was her sixth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Megan Rombach, who scored nine points along with 12 rebounds and three steals.
Meanwhile, Woodmore strolled past St. Mary Central Catholic with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 35-21. That looming 35-21 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Woodmore yet this season.
Calvert has been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season. As for Woodmore, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
