Alameda won the last time they faced San Leandro and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Hornets came out on top against the Pirates by a score of 54-46. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Hornets' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 136th, while the Pirates are ranked 395th).

Alameda was led to victory by Jack Omarra and Samuel Skolnick. Omarra went 5-for-12 en route to 15 points and six rebounds, while Skolnick posted 11 points and eight boards. Dylan Mann was another key player, putting up nine points.

Alameda is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record this season. As for San Leandro, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-10.

Alameda wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 61-58 defeat against Berkeley on the 30th. As for San Leandro, they have also already played their next matchup, a 62-52 win against Piedmont on the 30th.
