East Carter came into Wednesday's match having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. Everything went their way against the Bath County Wildcats on Wednesday as they made off with an 8-1 win. The Raiders might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 14 contests by seven runs or more this season.

East Carter's victory bumped their record up to 18-14. As for Bath County, they dropped their record down to 16-16-1 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. East Carter will square off against Lawrence County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Bulldogs will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Raiders surely won't give up without a fight. As for Bath County, they will challenge Powell County at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Pirates will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Wildcats surely won't give up without a fight.
