Volleyball Recap: Holy Spirit Prep Starts Season with Loss on the Road

Holy Spirit Prep had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Fulton Science Academy Mustangs on Tuesday. The Cougars were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Mustangs apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2023.

Holy Spirit Prep started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 12-25, 25-18, 25-19, 25-15.

Fulton Science Academy's victory bumped their record up to 2-0.

Coming up, Holy Spirit Prep will head out to take on Notre Dame Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Fulton Science Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Valor Christian at 4:30 p.m.
