Basketball Recap: Ripley's Victory on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Ripley came tearing into Saturday's game with three straight wins and they left with even more momentum. They secured a 73-69 W over the Falkner Eagles. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Tigers also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2024.

Falkner's loss came despite strong showings from Chris Nunley and Elijah Mauney. Nunley posted 30 points, while Mauney dropped a double-double on 27 points and ten boards. Mauney's evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

Ripley's win bumped their record up to 16-7. As for Falkner, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-9.

Ripley has already played their next match, a 51-31 victory against Amory on the 28th. As for Falkner, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 48-39 defeat against Byers on the 28th.
