Volleyball Recap: Britton-Hecla's Luck Changes for the Better on Monday

There's no place like home for Britton-Hecla, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Langford Lions on Monday, sneaking past 3-2. The victory was some much needed relief for the Braves as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Britton-Hecla got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the fourth set. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 19-25, 25-27, 30-28, 15-9.

Ava Teveldal had an outrageously good game as she had 32 digs and two assists. Those 32 digs gave her a new career-high.

Britton-Hecla was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 13 aces. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their ace total in three consecutive matchups.

The win got Britton-Hecla back to even at 5-5. As for Langford, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season.

Britton-Hecla wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-1 defeat against Redfield on the 18th. As for Langford, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against North Central on the 16th.
