Basketball Game Preview: Draper APA Eagles vs. North Summit Braves

Having just played yesterday, the Draper APA Eagles will jump right back in to play the North Summit Braves at 4:10 p.m. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Draper APA sitting on eight straight wins and North Summit on 19.

Draper APA is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out Duchesne 38-35. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory Draper APA has posted since December 6, 2024.

Meanwhile, North Summit took their contest on Thursday with ease, bagging a 61-25 win over St. Joseph. The Braves have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 17 matches by 20 points or more this season.

Draper APA better keep an eye on Ellie Stephens. She was instrumental in North Summit's win, dropping a double-double with 19 points and 14 boards. Stephens is crushing it when it comes to rebounds: she's pulled down at least eight every time she's taken the court this season. Hartlynn Richins was another key player, going 5-for-11 en route to 10 points in addition to seven assists and three steals.

North Summit smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards every time they've taken the court this season.

North Summit's victory bumped their record up to 24-1. As for Draper APA, their win bumped their record up to 19-5.
