Football Game Preview: Gilroy Mustangs vs. Leland Chargers + Official Tickets

The Gilroy Mustangs will venture away from home to face off against the Leland Chargers at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Gilroy hasn't scored more than seven points for three games straight, a trend the team is eager to reverse.

The home team had come away the winner the last four times Gilroy and Ann Sobrato had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Mustangs had to suffer through a 42-7 loss at the hands of the Bulldogs.

Meanwhile, Leland fell victim to Willow Glen and their airtight defense on Friday. They were dealt a 31-0 loss at the hands of the Rams. The Chargers have struggled against the Rams recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Leland's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Gilroy, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 1-6.

Gilroy took a serious blow against Leland in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, falling 35-8. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Mustangs were down 28-0.
