The Community Christian Warriors are taking a road trip to face off against the Cristo Rey Fort Worth Lions at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Community Christian has three straight victories, Cristo Rey Fort Worth has five straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Aiden Sipes continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 19 for 30 to rack up 47 points and six rebounds. The contest was his eighth in a row with at least 18 points. Another player making a difference was River Bryan, who went 6 of 13 en route to 12 points and seven boards.

Meanwhile, Cristo Rey Fort Worth fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against Joshua Christian on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Knights by a score of 58-55. One positive for the Lions, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Community Christian's win bumped their record up to 9-7. As for Cristo Rey Fort Worth, their loss dropped their record down to 1-8.

Community Christian was able to grind out a solid victory over Cristo Rey Fort Worth in their previous matchup on Friday, winning 57-46. The rematch might be a little tougher for Community Christian since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
