Softball Recap: Eastern Musketeers vs. North Harrison Cougars

Eastern was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 6-2 to the North Harrison Cougars. Eastern was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as North Harrison apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2023.

Eastern saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bracie Jackson, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. Jackson has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive pitching appearances.

On North Harrison's side, Kendal Maher was incredible, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Gabby White, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-4.

Eastern's loss dropped their record down to 3-11. As for North Harrison, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 12-10.

Eastern will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Providence at 5:30 p.m. As for North Harrison, they will head out on the road to square off against Brownstown Central at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
