Volleyball Recap: St. John's Prep Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for St. John's Prep, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Sacred Heart Irish with a sharp 3-0 victory on Thursday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in March.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-15, 25-21.

Eric Stankiewicz paced St. John's Prep's offense, picking up seven kills. Stankiewicz got some help from Aleksi Pilinci and his nine assists. Konstantinos Galeas and Blake Williams kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with five aces apiece.

The win got St. John's Prep back to even at 7-7. As for Sacred Heart, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Coming up, St. John's Prep will challenge Information Tech at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Information Tech will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something St. John's Prep surely won't give up without a fight. Sacred Heart does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
