Volleyball Recap: Erie Takes a Loss

Erie lost against St. Mary's-Colgan back in October of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Red Devils fell 2-0 to the Panthers. The Red Devils have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-17.

Lila Michael paced Erie's offense, picking up seven kills. Michael got some help from Kaeleigh Daniels and her 11 assists. Finally, Michael was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high three blocks.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead St. Mary's-Colgan to victory, but perhaps none more so than Izzy Tierney, who had nine assists and two aces. That's the most aces Tierney has posted over her last six matches.

Erie now has a losing record of 20-21. As for St. Mary's-Colgan, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 22-15.

Erie does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for St. Mary's-Colgan, they have already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against Conway Springs on the 25th.
