Baseball Game Preview: Kearns Cougars vs. Granger Lancers

The Kearns Cougars will square off against the Granger Lancers at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with six consecutive losses dating back to last season for Kearns and 14 for Granger dating back to last season.

Kearns lost 7-1 to Murray on Friday.

Daymin Ward was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Bostyn Ward also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Meanwhile, Granger came up short against Cyprus on Friday, falling 13-1.

Granger saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Taviahn Pickering, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Granger's defeat dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Kearns, their loss dropped their record down to 0-5.
