Volleyball Recap: Whitehall-Yearling Comes Up Short

Whitehall-Yearling was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They came up short against the Columbus School for Girls Unicorns, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Unicorns this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on September 2nd.

The final score came out to 25-10, 25-16, 25-8.

Columbus School for Girls' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kiersten Cahill led the charge by getting six digs and three aces. That's the most aces Cahill has posted since September 2nd. Skylar Holmes was another key player, getting five digs and four aces.

Whitehall-Yearling's loss dropped their record down to 2-17. As for Columbus School for Girls, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-8.

Whitehall-Yearling wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Worthington Christian on the 2nd. As for Columbus School for Girls, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Grandview Heights on the 30th.
