Football Recap: Cornwall Central's Undefeated Season over After Three Games

Cornwall Central lost against Monroe-Woodbury back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Dragons took a 7-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Crusaders. The Dragons gained 123 more yards on the day, but it was the Crusaders that made the best use of them.

Danny Twomey threw for 90 yards on 12 of 23 attempts. Aaden Hershberger was his top target, picking up 65 receiving yards. On the ground, Jordan Bishop rushed for 91 yards.

Having lost for the first time this season, Cornwall Central fell to 2-1. As for Monroe-Woodbury, the win made it two in a row for them and also bumps their season record up to 2-1.

Cornwall Central has already played their next contest, a 62-20 victory against Our Lady of Lourdes on the 26th. As for Monroe-Woodbury, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 43-0 win against Valley Central on the 25th.
