If Blake wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Jesuit, they should've done a better job of containing Hezekiah Davis. The Tigers breezed past the Yellow Jackets to the tune of 46-7 on Friday with plenty of help from Davis, who rushed for 110 yards and two scores on only nine carries. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 101.5 rushing yards per game.
On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Jesuit's defense and their five sacks. Leading the way was Rashaun Fitts Jr. with two. Another thorn in Blake's side was Tripp Keller, who picked up a sack and made 12 total tackles (2.0 for loss).
Blake's loss came despite strong showings from Ashton Goggins and Elijah Newman Hall. Goggins rushed for 56 yards and one touchdown, while Newman Hall rushed for 95 yards. Newman Hall was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 50 yards.
Jesuit's record now sits at 3-1. As for Blake, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.
