Softball Recap: East Noble Finds Playoff Glory Versus Dekalb

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only East Noble walked away with it. They won by a run and slipped past the DeKalb Barons 1-0. The victory was familiar territory for the Knights, who have now won three games in a row.

The result came thanks to Abby Alwine's shutout, as she gave up just a hit. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up a single walk in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, East Noble's win was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Paige Griggs, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

East Noble's victory bumped their record up to 18-7-1. As for DeKalb, their loss dropped their record down to 12-14.

As of now, neither East Noble nor the Barons have any future games scheduled.
