Texas high school softball state playoff brackets

National No. 1 Melissa on quest to win second-straight state crown but No. 10 Barbers Hill sits in same bracket.
The University Interscholastic League has unveiled brackets and schedules for the 2025 softball state playoffs. Championship games will be held May 29-April 1 at Red & Charline McCombs Field in Austin.
National No. 1
Melissa enters the postseason with a perfect 29-0 record and are in the Class 5A Division 1 bracket. The Cardinals lead the nation with 94 home runs and are nearing the national record of 105 as a team.
On the other side of the bracket is No. 10
Barbers Hill (Mt. Belvieu), which has a 27-3 record. The Eagles split a pair of games during the season against a third nationally-ranked program, No. 4
Katy (31-1).
Katy is bracketed in Class 6A Division 1.
