Volleyball Game Preview: Plainfield South Cougars vs. Joliet West Tigers

Plainfield South hasn't had much luck against Joliet West recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Cougars will be playing at home against the Tigers at 5:30 p.m.

It was a classic North v. South duel when Plainfield South duked it out with Plainfield North on Tuesday. The Cougars fell 2-0 to the Tigers.

Plainfield South was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-23.

Meanwhile, Joliet West had already won eight in a row and they went ahead and made it nine on Tuesday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Foxes.

Joliet West never let Yorkville on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 27-25.

Joliet West's win bumped their record up to 25-3. As for Plainfield South, their loss dropped their record down to 5-10.
