Volleyball Recap: Argonaut Takes a Loss

Argonaut saw some tournament action on Saturday. They fell just short of the Ben Holt College Prep Academy Bobcats by a score of 2-1. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Alayna Critchfield paced Argonaut's offense, picking up nine kills. Critchfield got some help from Mia Maggi and her nine assists. Ashlee Evans controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Argonaut's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Ben Holt College Prep Academy, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Looking ahead, Argonaut will look to takes advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they takes on Hughson at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Ben Holt College Prep Academy, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Bear River on the 23rd.
