Basketball Recap: Centerville Takes a Loss

Centerville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They were beaten by the Trinity Tigers 64-25. Centerville was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-10.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Trinity to victory, but perhaps none more so than Mariah Tyson, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 13 boards. Tyson has been hot for a while, having posted eight or more boards the last 13 times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia Mills, who almost dropped a double-double on 16 points and nine boards.

Centerville's defeat dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Trinity, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-5.

Centerville will take on Latexo in a holiday battle at at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Trinity, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 30-20 loss against Buffalo on the 13th.
