Basketball Recap: Trinity Takes a Loss

Trinity lost to Holy Name back in January of 2017 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Trojans took a 69-55 bruising from the Green Wave. The Trojans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

When it comes to explaining why Trinity lost, don't look at Jordan Campbell. Despite the final result, he shot 63% from the field en route to 12 points. Campbell is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Jshaun Richards, who posted seven points and seven rebounds.

Trinity's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Holy Name, their victory bumped their record up to 3-7.

Trinity didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 60-41 win against Beachwood on the 6th. As for Holy Name, they will square off against Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Green Wave will be up against the Lions' rather soft defense (which has allowed 72.89 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
