Baseball Recap: Mulberry Gets the Win

Mulberry's game last Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They walked away with an 11-7 victory over the Lead Hill Tigers. This was payback for the Yellowjackets, who suffered a 15-1 loss the last time these two teams met.

Clete Clawson was a standout: he got on base in all five of his plate appearances with five stolen bases, four runs, and one RBI. He has become a key player for Mulberry: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 4-7 otherwise. Caidyn Dunn was another key player, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two stolen bases, five RBI, and one run.

Mulberry kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

The win got Mulberry back to even at 7-7. As for Lead Hill, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-12.

As of now, neither Mulberry nor the Tigers have any future games scheduled.
