Baseball Game Preview: Seminole Indians vs. Dumas Demons

The Seminole Indians will face off against the Dumas Demons at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. Seminole will be strutting in after a victory while Dumas will be coming in after a loss.

If Seminole beats Dumas with nine runs on Friday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two matches with that exact score. Everything went Seminole's way against Denver City on Monday as Seminole made off with a 9-1 win. The Indians haven't had any issues with the Mustangs recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Obed Reyes made a splash no matter where he played. He struck out six batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit (and only one walk). Reyes was also big at the plate, going 1-for-5 with one home run and three RBI. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in RBI.

In other batting news, Jaycen Robledo was a standout: he scored two runs and stole three bases while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Michael Ray, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Seminole kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Denver City onlymanaged four hits.

Meanwhile, Dumas came up short against Levelland on Monday and fell 7-4.
