Deuel came tearing into  Saturday's  matchup with 12 straight wins  (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.9 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Sisseton Redmen  an   18-0 shutout. Considering the Cardinals have won 11 contests by more than five  runs this season, Saturday's  blowout was nothing new.
Deuel pushed their record up to 19-2 with the  win, which was their 13th straight  at home dating back to last season. The  home  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Sisseton,  they are  on  a  three-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 1-15.
 Looking ahead, Deuel will welcome Freeman/Marion/Freeman Academy  on Tuesday. Freeman/Marion/Freeman Academy has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.06  runs per game on average), something Deuel will no doubt try to take advantage of. Sisseton does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
