Basketball Recap: Oakland Comes Up Short

Oakland was the 56-40 winner over Rockvale when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Oakland Patriots took a 56-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of Rockvale on Tuesday.

Amaya Nash was her usual excellent self, going 6 for 13 on her way to 20 points along with eight boards and four steals for Rockvale. Jade Watson was another key player, going 5 of 10 en route to 15 points.

Oakland has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season. As for Rockvale, they pushed their record up to 14-6 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Siegel the next time they take the court. Oakland will host Siegel at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, while Rockvale will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on January 21st.
