Jordyn Bahl, Rylee Holtorf, Maci Bergeron lead star-studded group from all corners of the country.

It's been a roller coaster ride for high school softball players over the past 11 months. States that play in the spring saw everything in 2020 from a 15-game season to a handful or contests to none at all. The hope now is that the 2021 season is a go around the country.

There also are six states (Colorado, Georgia, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma) that hold high school softball in the fall. In Nebraska, the Class of 2021's No. 1 player, Jordyn Bahl of Papillion-LaVista (Papillion, Neb.), finished her career as a back-to-back state champion.

All states that play high school softball are listed below. The list was formed using high school accomplishments, statistics provided to MaxPreps, postseason local awards, rankings services including FloSoftball, Extra Inning Softball, and Softball America.
