Baseball Recap: Keene Blackbirds vs. Concord Crimson Tide
If Keene was riding high fresh off their 10-1 takedown of Brattleboro last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Blackbirds fell 4-1 to the Concord Crimson Tide on Wednesday. The Blackbirds were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Crimson Tide apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.
Brayden French spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered four earned runs on four hits.
On the hitting side, Fitch Hennessey made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases and one run. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 1.1 stolen bases per game.
