Basketball Recap: June Buchanan Takes a Loss

June Buchanan was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 13th straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Owsley County Owls / Lady Owls, falling 73-34. If the Crusaders were looking for revenge after losing 72-34 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

June Buchanan's loss dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Owsley County, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-13.

June Buchanan and Owsley County could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Kentucky Rankings. June Buchanan (ranked 273rd) will meet Jenkins (ranked 127th) at 7:30 p.m. on January 21st. Similarly, Owsley County will face off against Breathitt County at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday down 201 places (252 vs. 51).
