Soccer Game Preview: Crescent vs. Belton-Honea Path

Crescent is on a five-game streak of home losses, and Belton-Honea Path a three-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Thursday. The Crescent Tigers will be playing at home against the Belton-Honea Path Bears at 7:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Crescent managed to keep up with West-Oak until halftime on Tuesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Tigers lost 3-0 to the Warriors.

The home team had come away the winner the last four times Belton-Honea Path and Palmetto had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Bears fell just short of the Mustangs by a score of 3-2 on Monday.

Taylor Tucker and Seth Ferguson scored both of Belton-Honea Path's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 14 goals.

Belton-Honea Path's loss dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Crescent, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-10.

Crescent suffered a grim 9-1 defeat to Belton-Honea Path in their previous matchup back in March. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Tigers were down 4-0.
