Basketball Recap: Moorhead Snaps Six-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

Moorhead suffered their closest loss since February 9, 2024 on Saturday. They fell just short of the Anoka Tornadoes by a score of 72-70. The Spuds were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tornadoes apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2015.

Moorhead's loss ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-5. As for Anoka, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-3.

Moorhead will be playing at home against Elk River at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Anoka has already played their next game (against Coon Rapids), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
