            The Preston Knights will square off against the Wheeling Park Patriots at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday.
Preston is headed into the  game out to prove that what happened against Lewis County  on Monday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Preston was dealt  a  75-30 loss at the hands of Lewis County. The Knights were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at  32-9.

 Despite the  defeat, Preston had strong showings from  Cameryn Sypolt, who  posted ten points and seven  boards, and  Kendra Nazelrod, who  earned four  points along with seven  rebounds and four  blocks. Nazelrod has been hot recently, having  posted two or more  blocks the last four times she's  played.
 Meanwhile, Wheeling Park posted their biggest  win since January 18th on Monday. They blew past Parkersburg South, posting  a  66-34 victory. Wheeling Park hasn't had any issues with Parkersburg South recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive  win against them.
 Preston has  traveled a rocky road recently having  lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-13 record  this season. Wheeling Park's victory bumped their record up to 14-8.
 Preston was dealt a bruising  91-18 loss at the hands of Wheeling Park in their previous meeting  back in February of 2024. That  contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Preston was down  51-12.
