Football Recap: Lawndale Piles Up the Points Against Roosevelt

The Lawndale Cardinals were fully in charge on Thursday, breezing past the Roosevelt Rough Riders 49-7. With the Cardinals ahead 35-0 at the half, the match was all but over already.

Lawndale didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Cordae Caston, King Berry, and EJ Baker picked up one apiece. Baker got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Lawndale has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 13 points this season. As for Roosevelt, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.
