Volleyball Recap: Churubusco Eagles vs. Woodlan Warriors

Churubusco kicked off their season on the road on Monday and hit a couple of potholes. They came up short against the Woodlan Warriors, falling 3-0. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Warriors recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-17, 25-11.

Kelsee Coil paced Churubusco's offense, picking up nine kills. Coil got some help from Mckayla Reuter and her ten assists.

Among those leading the charge was McKenna Smith, who had 14 digs. That's the most digs she has posted since back in September of 2024.

Churubusco has already played their next game, a 3-1 loss against Adams Central on the 19th. As for Woodlan, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against New Haven on the 19th.
