Softball Recap: Kingston Cardinals vs. Deckerville Eagles
If Kingston was riding high fresh off their 11-1 takedown of Carsonville-Port Sanilac on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Cardinals fell just short of the Deckerville Eagles by a score of 7-6 on Thursday. The Cardinals were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.
Grace McGarvie made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Andie Hurd was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.
Kingston's loss dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Deckerville, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-5.
