Baseball Game Preview: Logan Chieftains vs. New Lexington Panthers

The Logan Chieftains will take on the New Lexington Panthers at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

On Wednesday, Logan didn't have quite enough to beat Meigs and fell 5-4. The Chieftains have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, New Lexington came up short against Logan Elm on Wednesday, falling 13-3.

New Lexington saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gus Pearson, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

New Lexington's defeat dropped their record down to 9-12. As for Logan, their loss dropped their record down to 9-16.

Logan couldn't quite get it done against New Lexington in their previous matchup back in May of 2025 as they fell 9-6. Can the Chieftains avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
