Softball Recap: Amador Valley Comes Up Short at Home Against Tracy

Amador Valley unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They fell just short of the Tracy Bulldogs by a score of 5-4 on Thursday. The Dons' loss signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak dating back to last season.

Amador Valley saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kaylee Davis, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and one double. What's more, Davis posted three hits, the most she's had since back in April of 2024. Mai Falcone was another, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.

The win (which was Tracy's sixth in a row) raised their record to 6-1.

Looking ahead, Amador Valley will venture away from home to face off against Heritage at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Tracy, they will welcome Oakdale at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Oakdale's pitching crew has only allowed 2.3 runs per game this season, so Tracy's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
