Baseball Recap: Mossyrock Takes a Loss

Mossyrock's last matchup with Napavine could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's matchup on Friday. The Vikings lost 17-1 to the Tigers. The loss continues a trend for the Vikings in their meetings with the Tigers: they've now lost three in a row.

Mossyrock saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Waylen Huguenin, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. That double marked the first that Huguenin has hit this season.

Mossyrock's defeat dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Napavine, they pushed their record up to 11-2 with the victory, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, Mossyrock will challenge Onalaska at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Napavine, they will face off against Morton/White Pass at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Tigers are facing the Timberwolves at the right time seeing as the Timberwolves are stuck on an 11-game losing streak.
