Volleyball Recap: Woodstock Comes Up Short

Woodstock was the 2-1 winner over Marengo when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Blue Streaks took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Indians on Tuesday.

The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-21.

Despite the loss, Woodstock saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Andrea Leon Gonzalez had seven digs and four aces.

Woodstock's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Marengo, the win also got them back to even at 1-1.

Looking ahead, Woodstock will be taking part in a tournament against Pecatonica at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Marengo, they have already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against Winnebago on the 28th.
