Volleyball Recap: Andover Starts Season with Win on the Road

Andover had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Cambridge-Isanti Bluejackets. For the Huskies, this counts as revenge for the 3-1 victory the Bluejackets walked away with the last time they faced one another back in August of 2024.

Andover had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 25-6, 25-17, 25-9.

Cambridge-Isanti is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

Andover wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against Forest Lake on the 28th. After both having extra time off, Cambridge-Isanti and Anoka will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
