While Pinellas Park's victory against Bell Creek Academy wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Patriots had just enough and edged out the Panthers 4-2. That's more bragging rights for the Patriots, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Nathan Timpe looked comfortable as he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit. What's more, he posted two strikeouts, the most he's had since back in February.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Daunte Dixon, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Dane Merryweather, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI.

Pinellas Park's win bumped their record up to 10-13-1. As for Bell Creek Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last 11 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-14-1 record this season.

Pinellas Park wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 defeat against Osceola on the 9th. As for Bell Creek Academy, they will take on Real Life Christian Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers are facing the Raptors at the right time seeing as the Raptors are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
