Basketball Recap: Southeast Bulloch Takes a Loss

Southeast Bulloch came up into this matchup off a tough 21-point defeat last Tuesday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Effingham County Rebels by a score of 51-49 on Friday. The Yellow Jackets' loss continues a trend for the team, making it six in a row.

Effingham County's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Elyjah Doty, who went 5 of 7 on his way to 14 points and six boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Drayton, who posted 11 points.

Southeast Bulloch's defeat dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Effingham County, the victory got them back to even at 5-5.

Southeast Bulloch and Trinity Christian Academy will face off at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. As for Effingham County, they and Savannah Christian will face off at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. Effingham County is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 54.7 points per game this season.
